Redecentralize

We’ve had enough of digital monopolies and surveillance capitalism. We want an alternative world that works for everyone, just like the original intention of the web and net.

We seek a world of open platforms and protocols with real choices of applications and services for people. We care about privacy, transparency and autonomy. Our tools and organisations should fundamentally be accountable and resilient.

Hi redecentralizers,

I wrote down some current thoughts on the recent attack on end-to-end crypto,
also known as decentralized encryption. It's also meant as a contribution to
a more meaningful and precise argument over surveillance.

Brilliant point about governments persuing synchronised backdoor policies. This implies that to get one significant government to not implement backdoor legislation should force the rest to abandon that strategy.

Another idea: governments require secure comms too - if not more so than individuals. Look at tor. Tor only works if anyone can use it. If only the government could use tor, any tor use would obviously be government.

Perhaps this is an argument for crypto that even the government can accept?
